Manitou River
Location: Lake County, MN

Goals: This project, located in the headwaters of the main branch of the river, will address failing banks, stream channel segments and old improvement areas.
Methods:
• Repair of failing riverbanks and braided channels.
• Replacement of poorly/improperly functioning structures.
• Planting of native vegetation on disturbed areas.
Implementation: Construction was completed summer 2012.
Project Contributors: Trout Unlimited, MNDNR and Forest Service.
