Funding: Lessard-Sams 2010
Goals: Improve fishing access to the river and trout habitat, create colder stream temperatures, decrease erosion and create a more suitable plant community.
Methods:
• Improvement the channel width and depth.
• Stabilization of the stream bank and improved cover for fish with installation of woody habitat and root wads, and bank resloping.
• Planting of native plants to improve the community and provide shading for cooler stream temperatures.
Implementation: Completed September of 2009
Project Two
Goals: Stabilize the stream channel, create cooler stream temperatures and improve fish habitat.
Methods:
• Create a more natural stream channel to replace the ditch.
• Add fish cover structures and also bends the in the channel.
• Planting of native plants to improve the community and provide shading for cooler stream temperatures.
Implementation: Fall 2010 – Fall 2011

Goals: Increase upland game and non-game habitat, and greatly improve in-stream trout habitat and water quality. Also, create a high-quality fishery within walking distance of suburban homes and within an hour’s drive of the majority of the state’s population.
Methods:
• Eradication of invasive species.
• Establishment of native vegetation to create wildlife habitat corridors and protect coldwater fisheries habitat.
• Creation of protective buffers.
Implementation: Construction scheduled for summer 2014.
