Little Isabella River

Location: Lake County, MN

Goals: Revitalize and replace habitat improvement structures originally installed nearly 60 years ago. Enhance the brook trout fishery and provide an easily accessed angling opportunity.

Methods:

• Repair of 17 failing habitat structures.

• Creation of deep water cover.

• Insertion of rocks into structures to direct both high and low flows

Implementation: Construction was completed summer 2012.
