Location: Benton County, MN

Funding: Lessard-Sams 2010
Goals: Improve 2,000’ of stream by narrowing the channel, reducing sediment deposition and erosion, lowering stream temperatures and permitting the growth of native plants.
Methods:
• Removal of brush that is causing erosion and stream widening.
• Placement of tree bundles along edge of stream to trap sediment during high flows.
Implementation: Construction was completed in 2010.
